Mumbai: Ending the long wait of music lovers and hockey fans, the official music video of Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup-2018 – ‘Jai Hind India’ – has been released today.

The 4.36-minute long music video was launched in the presence of Oscar-winning music director and the man behind the song A.R. Rahaman, Odisha Sports Minister Chandra Sarathi Behera and Director of Sports Department R Vineel Krishna at glittering ceremony in Mumbai this evening.

Besides, Indian hockey legends Dilip Tirkey, Lazarus Barla and Dhanraj Pillay also attended the launching programme.

The lyrics for the Hockey World Cup anthem 'Jai Hind, Jai India' have been penned by well known lyricist Gulzar.

Rahman took to his official Twitter account to announce about about the music video release:

The music video features film stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Sivamani and some Indian Hockey players.

The song's theme is India, Odisha and purpose as being loftier than victory or defeat.

It may be recalled here that the Grammy and Academy Award winning musician and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan had performed at the opening ceremony of the hockey world cup at Kalinga Stadium here on November 27.
