Bhubaneswar: The teaser of official song for Odisha Men's Hockey World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018 is here and hockey fans across the world cannot keep calm.

The 46-second duration promo of the official song, titled “Jai Hind, Jai India” was released today on the official social media accounts of Hockey India.

The video song, which focuses on the message ‘purpose is loftier than victory or defeat’, features the Badshah of romance, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and some prominent hockey players.

The song is composed by A R Rahman and penned by celebrated lyricist-poet Gulzar. It also features Nayanthara, Sivamani, Neeti Mohan, Shweta Mohan, Sasha Tirupathi, Shweta Pandit, Harshdeep and the National Hockey World Cup Players, shot by Ravi Varman.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik expressed his gratitude to Rahman for creating a 'catchy teaser that captures the excitement & euphoria of hockey lovers across India..." in an official tweet.

In reply to Naveen Patnaik, the Jai Ho singer tweeted that he was honoured, excited and looking forward to his Odisha visit.

Worth mentioning here that the Academy Award winning maestro will perform live at the opening ceremony of Hockey Men’s World Cup at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on November 27 and at Barabati Stadium the next day.

The fourteenth edition of the prestigious hockey competition is scheduled to take place from November 28 to December 16.
