Bhubaneswar: People of Odisha gripped by blistering heat can now heave a sigh of relief as monsoon is likely to touch Odisha coast on June 10.

As per the Skymet Weather, monsoon will touch Andaman Island by May 20 and hit Kerala early by June 1. The monsoon will reach Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh around June 5 and later advance towards Odisha.

There will be normal rain in Odisha this year that will be helpful for farmers in their agricultural activities, said the weathermen.

The monsoon will remain active across the country for four months.
