Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today thanked the people of Odisha for their support for last 24 years.

The BJD faced a defeat in the hands of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Assembly polls in Odisha.

“We are grateful to the people of Odisha for their support to our party for the last 24 years. This time also our party got around 40 per cent votes, just 3 per cent down from the last Assembly polls in the state. However, we could not win enough seats in the recent polls. But, we will continue to serve the people of Odisha in future,” said BJD leader Sasmit Patra in a presser here.
