Konark: A mentally challenged woman was found dead in a naked state about 100 metres away from Konark Sun Temple here in Odisha's Puri district this morning.

According to reports, the deceased woman was staying near Rajaram Temple here for the last five years.

Locals spotted the body and informed police about it following which cops reached the spot, seized the body for post-mortem and started investigation after registering a case into the incident.

While the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that she was raped and murdered late last night. A liquor bottle has been seized from the spot.
