XIMB achieves exemplary placements this year

Bhubaneswar: The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) secured an exemplary placement for its 2016-18 MBA pass-outs. The institute saw the largest batch of the Business school get placed with 358 out of 361 students in MBA (BM) and 123 students in MBA (HR).

According to a statement issued by the premier management institute, the highest salary stood at Rs 23.50 lakh per annum, which is around Rs 2.5 lakh rupees more compared to last year, the average compensation offered is Rs 12.91 lakh in its flagship BM programme.

Students bagged offers from leading organizations like CBC, Deloitte, EY, IBM, ICICI Bank, L&T, PwC, TCS and Tata Steel. The institute also played host to a string of new recruiters like Brillio, Wildcraft, Tresvista, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Eveready, PPG Asian Paints and Havells, to name a few – a testament to the growing brand equity and reputation of this institute.

In MBA (Human Resource Management), 123 candidates participated in the placement process and 110 were placed. The highest domestic salary stood at Rs 20.84 lakh per annum while the average annual salary was Rs 11.88 lakh per annum.

Prominent recruiters like Deloitte, L&T, Standard Chartered, Vedanta, Raymond, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Future Generalli Life Insurance, GMR, Aditya Birla Group, HCCBPL, GAIL, BPCL, Tata Steel, Metso, Ultratech, ACG Worldwide and many more which offered roles in Industrial Relations sector.

The B-School said that even after rising competition and slow hiring trends, the institute did manage to secure exemplary placements for the students with the number of popular organisations.
