2 from Bihar held from Falaknuma Express in Odisha in cheating case; Rs 24 lakh seized

Bhubaneswar: Telangana police with the help of Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Odisha today arrested two persons in connection with a cheating case.

Accused Ramnarayan Yadav (40) and SK Siraj (43) of Katihar district in Bihar were caught from Falaknuma Express in between Cuttack and Jajpur.

According RPF sources, the duo had duped a person in Nalgonda district of Telangana of around Rs 30 lakh on the promise of doubling the amount within a short period.

The police in Telangana had registered a case in this regard and launched a probe.

After tracking the mobile phones of the accused duo, the police came to know that both Yadav and Siraj were travelling in the Secunderabad-Howrah Falaknuma Express today.

The Telangana police immediately contacted the RPF in Odisha. A joint team of Telangana police and RPF arrested the accused duo from the train in between Cuttack and Jajpur station.

The team has seized Rs 24 lakh from the two accused.

Soon after their arrest, the accused duo has been handed over to Telangana police.
