Bhubaneswar:  In a tragic incident, three labourers died while working inside a sump tank in Pandara area under Macheswar police limits here today.

The deceased trio has been identified as Samiran Munia, Basudev Mandal and Digaram Mandal, all are residents of Medinapur in West Bengal.

Sources said the incident occurred after a false plaster of the sump tank collapsed when the trio was working inside it. The bodies were later recovered from the tank.

On receiving information, Mancheswar police reached the spot and began an inquiry into the incident.
