Angul: In a fatal road mishap, at least three youth were killed while two others suffered grievous injuries in collision between a car and a truck on NH-149 at Naikanali village under Samal police limits in Angul district today.

While the identity of the deceased trio is yet to be ascertained, all the injured have been admitted to a hospital in Talcher, sources said.

The incident took place early this morning when the five youth were returning to Rourkela after attending a wedding party in Jankia area of Khordha district. The car they were travelling in collided head-on with a speeding truck at Naikanali village. The truck driver fled the spot with his vehicle after the accident.

On getting information, police later reached the spot and began an investigation into the incident.
