Annual conference of Pelvi-Acetabular Surgeons begins in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The three-day conference of Association of Pelvic Acetabular Surgeons (AOPAS) began here today.

The 3rd annual conference of Pelvi-Acetabular Surgeons has kick started at Hotel Mayfair Convention here.

The theme of the conference is “Approach Right, reduce anatomically, fix well and avoid complication-Success could be yours.” This conference will host didactic lectures, cadaveric workshop and live surgeries. For the first time AOPAS 2019 will host case based discussion and meet the master session which will be much more useful to all surgeons practicing pelvic-acetabular surgeries. Discussion on Total Hip Replacement in the discussion is planned.

Gitanjali Batmanabane, Director, AIIMS and Sudhir Diggikar, CEO, Apollo will attend as chief guest. Dr. Tania Ferguson, USA, Dr Sagi from Samsung, Dr Carlos Sancinto, Argentina, Dr Bondarenko, Ukraine will also grace the occasion.

Dr Chitta Prasad Das, chairman, organizing committee said that, “We have invited the most outstanding surgeons, known globally for their work and knowledge from center of excellence in USA and South America, as our international faculties. We plan to organise cadaveric exercises to suit both beginners and advanced level delegates separately.”

Dr Sujit Tripathy, Secretary, organizing committee said that, “Total 250 delegates including 35 faculties, 5 international faculties will grace the conference. We are committed to make the program more interactive with case based presentation “meet of master”, panel discussion with crossfire session and competition papers.”
