Central University of Odisha to remain closed for 7 days

Koraput: In view of surge in Covid-19 cases in Koraput and on the campus of Central University of Odisha, authorities of the varsity today decided to close the University Office, University Library and the Laboratories for a period of seven days from January 13, 2022. The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure and to check the spread of Covid-19.

Official sources at the varsity said teaching and non-teaching staff have been directed to carry out the official work from their homes. Online classes will continue.

The Vice Chancellor in charge of the University, Prof. S. K. Palita requested employees and faculty members not to panic and strictly follow the Covid-19 appropriate behavior.

He further advised employees of the varsity with minimum symptoms of Covid-19 to go for tests at the nearby hospital.

The official sources added within seven days the situation will be reviewed and further action will be taken thereafter.
