CM Naveen asks BJD MLAs to fulfill poll promises

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today advised his party legislators to meet their promises made during poll campaign.

At a meeting attended by all the BJD MLAs at Naveen Niwas after the party's massive victory in Assembly and Lok Sabha polls in the state, Patnaik shared the formula with the legislators to achieve success in politics.

"Giving significant tips to the first-time MLAs, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik told us the way he has been working for the people since 2000 when was first elected to Assembly. He suggested us to fulfill the poll promises made to people of our respective constituencies and address the issues having everyone's support," said Ananta Narayan Jena, who is the first-time legislator from Bhubaneswar (central).

The CM also asked the legislators to strengthen the party, reach out the people and ensure them get the amenities provided by the government, Jena said after the meeting.

Sources in the party said that CM suggested his party colleagues to work for people with dedication, be tender and live a simple life.
