Cyclone FANI: Landfall process begins in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Landfall process of cyclonic storm FANI has already started in Odisha as Puri recorded a wind speed of maximum 175 kmph this morning, official sources said.

The process started at 8 am. Part of eye of the cyclonic storm was over land at 8.30 am. Entire process of eye entering into land will be completed in the next 2 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

It is most likely to cross Odisha coast between Gopalpur and Chandbali, close to Puri during 8 am to 11 am, said IMD.
