Bhubaneswar: Veteran actor and director Narayan Pati passed away today during treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday evening.

A National School of Drama (NSD) alumnus, Pati was celebrated for his versatility and depth in acting. His final film was Bou Ra Hatabaksha.

Beginning his career in 1971, Pati featured in several films across different languages. His performances in Shantata! Court Chalu Aahe (1971), Lakhe Shiva Puji Paichhi Pua (1994), Gare Sindura Dhare Luha (2001), and Arjun (2005) received critical acclaim and established him as a respected figure in Indian theatre and cinema.
