Explosion in Odisha school leaves 2 students critical

Aska: At least two students were wounded in an explosion inside a state-run school building at Magura village under Aska police limits in Odisha's Ganjam district.

The victims were rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Aska in critical condition.

According to reports, the explosion took place inside a toilet of the school. When the two students went to the toilet before having Mid-Day Meal, they found an unidentified object on the windowpane. After they touched the object out of curiosity, it exploded injuring them critically.

Following the incident, School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash ordered the District Education Officer (DEO) to probe the matter and submit the report within a week.
