Here're railway projects allocated for Odisha in Budget

Bhubaneswar: Several new railway projects have been sanctioned for Odisha in the Union Budget 2019-20. Odisha has received highest ever allocation in Railways as the budgetary allocation stood at Rs 5993 crores this year against Rs 5940 crores in interim budget. Allocation during last year was Rs 5252 crores.

Flyover at Baghuapal, grant for maintenance of coaches, Rs 180 crore for passenger amenities, two automatic coach washing plants for Bhubaneswar Coaching Depot, new wheel lathe for Mancheswar Workshop, Angul Electric Loco Shed and Bondamunda are among the newly-announced railway projects for Odisha.

Similarly, five new surveys have been granted for Odisha. They are Raja Athagarh to Kaipadar Road avoiding Bhubaneswar and Khurda Road, 10 flyovers-- Titlagarh, Singapur Road, Haridaspur, Koraput, Sambalpur, Machhapur, Jajpur Road, Sambalpur City, Sarla and Gopalpur Port, Chord Line from Talcher to Angul through colliery to avoid engine reversal at Talcher (14 kms), bypass from Titlagarh-Rahenbata to Sikir and flyover at Cuttack for goods train to avoid congestion at Cuttack.
