Illegal vehicle parking in Odisha capital to invite trouble

Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police has decided to take stringent action against those parking their vehicles illegally in capital city Bhubaneswar.

Wheels of vehicles of the violators will be locked with wheel jammers and a fine of Rs 500 will be imposed on them. On day one, the action was taken against those who had parked their vehicles illegally near Lok Seva Bhawan, SBI Main Branch and RBI office here.

"Random parking of vehicles has created hindrance in smooth movement of traffic in the city. To curb such activities, we have decided to impose fine on the violators," said Amaresh Panda, Additional DCP, Traffic, Commissionerate Police.

Couple of days ago, the Commissionerate Police had initiated deployment of drones to check rash driving and violation of traffic rules in the city.
