Jharsuguda airport to be inaugurated on September 22

Jharsuguda: It’s finally confirmed that the much-awaited second major airport of Odisha in Jharsuguda will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 22.

PM Modi will inaugurate the Jharsuguda airport during his one-day visit to Odisha on September 22, informed Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram here today.

Besides, Modi will lay foundation stone for revival of Talcher fertiliser plant and flag off Saradega-Jharsuguda railway line during his visit to Odisha, Oram said while inspecting the airport here this morning.

Notably, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has granted a 4-C category license to the Jharsuguda airport allowing it for operation of bigger planes.
