2 killed while opening centring of septic tank in Odisha's Sambalpur

Sambalpur: In a tragic incident, two men died and two others fell ill while opening the centring structure of a newly constructed septic tank at Keshaibahal village under Mahulapali police limits in Odisha's Sambalpur district today.

According to reports, the four men had entered the septic tank to open the centring structure. During the process, they experienced severe breathing difficulties due to suffocation.

Two persons, identified as Sushil Naik and Bhikari Charan Behera of Keshaibahal, lost their lives due to suffocation. The other two individuals fell critically ill and were rescued from the tank.

The injured persons were immediately shifted to Kuchinda Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
