Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has congratulated the people of West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry for the victory of BJP and its allies in the recently concluded Assembly polls.
“The people’s verdict in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry is historic. It is the victory of democracy. People’s confidence in the policies and principles of BJP has been reflected in the Assembly poll results in these states,” said Majhi during an event at BJP Odisha unit headquarters here today.
According Majhi, the people of West Bengal have voted for development while the voters of Assam supported political stability and good governance. The people of Puducherry also reposed their faith in the BJP-led NDA, said the Chief Minister.
“The poll results clearly revealed that the people have the preference for positive politics. BJP workers have worked tirelessly to ensure party’s victory in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry. Our party always tries to win the people’s trust,” added the Chief Minister.
On the occasion, Majhi also reiterated the BJP government’s commitment to empower the farmers, women and poor people. “Victory and defeat are parts of electoral politics. But, we should always work for the development of the common people,” stated Majhi.
The Chief Minister also praised the leadership and developmental initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for BJP’s electoral victories across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP Odisha unit president Manmohan Samal congratulated the saffron party’s activists in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry for its historic success in the Assembly polls.
Samal also highlighted the contributions of Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president Nitin Nabin for the party’s electoral success.
