Malkangiri: A local web channel journalist was allegedly murdered by unidentified miscreants last night in Odisha's Malkangiri district. The deceased has been identified as CH Naresh from Muraliguda village.

According to reports, the incident occurred near Muraliguda village when Naresh was talking to two fellow journalists and two local youths. Suddenly, five people arrived at the spot on motorcycles and launched an assault on Naresh with sharp weapons and swords.

Naresh was initially rushed to the Motu Hospital and later shifted to the Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital due to his critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

The motive behind the murder remains unclear. Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and have launched an investigation into the matter.
