Bhubaneswar: Just four days after the sensational gangrape case at Gopalpur in Odisha, another such crime has come to the fore in Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday.

Four miscreants allegedly gangraped a married woman in Rajabasa area of Baripada town yesterday.

The victim’s husband has lodged a complaint in this regard with Baripada Sadar police.

As per the complaint, the miscreants abducted the woman from her house last night and took her to a nearby room.

They allegedly sexually assaulted the woman before fleeing the spot.

The police have registered a case in this regard and launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.

It is worth mentioning here that a college girl was gangraped by miscreants in front of her male friend on Gopalpur beach in Ganjam district on June 15.

The incident took place when the college girl along with her male friend visited the beach during the Raja festival.

The police have arrested at least 10 persons, including a few minors, in connection with the case.
