Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre on Thursday issued a nowcast warning for five districts in Odisha, valid for the next three hours.

According to the forecast, light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light rain are likely to occur at one or two places in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Mayurbhanj and Nabarangpur.

Residents have been advised to remain alert, monitor weather conditions closely, and move to safer locations in case of lightning.

A yellow warning has been issued for these districts.

Meanwhile, light rainfall was reported at one or two places in Gajapati, while the rest of the state experienced dry weather, as per the latest bulletin.

Titilagarh recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 39.5°C.
