Bhubaneswar: The principal of a degree college was found dead in a train near Daspalla railway station in Odisha’s Nayagarh district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Maheswar Mahapatra. He was working as the principal of Sarankul Degree College in Nayagarh.

As per reports, Mahapatra was found dead in Bhubaneswar-Daspalla MEMU.

The college principal was reportedly returning to Nayagarh from Bhubaneswar.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) seized the body and sent it for postmortem before launching a probe into the incident.

It is suspected that Mahapatra may have suffered a cardiac arrest.
