Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor and Chancellor of state universities, Hari Babu Kambhampati, on Tuesday appointed Prof Asima Sahu as the In-Charge Vice-Chancellor of Berhampur University.

Prof Sahu will hold this as an additional charge while continuing in her current role at Khallikote Unitary University.

The appointment has been made under the provisions of Sub-section (10) of Section 6 of the Odisha Universities Act, 1989.

Her tenure will take effect immediately and remain in force for six months, or until a regular Vice-Chancellor assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
