Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government official sources said the State government has secured 71 investment intents during the Odisha Investors’ Meet roadshow in Gujarat. The delegation was led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
According to officials, the investment intents include eight MoUs and 63 Investment Intention Forms, with a total proposed investment of ₹48,330 crore. The projects are expected to generate over 67,838 jobs.
Reiterating the state government’s focus on execution and investor facilitation, the Chief Minister assured industries of proactive support through the GO-SWIFT single-window clearance mechanism and dedicated handholding systems.
CM pitches for investments in Odisha
Highlighting Odisha’s industrial strengths, Majhi said the state offers a robust combination of raw material availability, modern infrastructure, port-led logistics, policy stability, and fast project execution systems.
He also underlined Odisha’s growing momentum in clean energy manufacturing, particularly in solar cells, modules, integrated value chains, and green manufacturing ecosystems, adding the state is well-positioned to contribute to India’s next phase of clean energy growth.
The Odisha Investors’ Meet, held in Ahmedabad, Mundra, and Vadodara, saw over 132 engagements, including high-level one-on-one B2G meetings, four sectoral roundtables, and two investment promotion roadshows in Ahmedabad and Vadodara, with participation of over 700 attendees.
The event concluded with significant investment commitments across sectors such as metal downstream, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, rare earth value addition, green energy equipment, infrastructure, logistics, food processing, apparel and textiles, IT and ITES, ESDM and semiconductors, lab-grown diamonds, plastics, tourism, aerospace and defence, capital goods, and power, officials added.
The delegation included Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries, Home and I&PR) Hemant Sharma, along with other senior government officials.
During the roadshow, the Industries Minister said Odisha is steadily emerging as a key industrial expansion hub in eastern India under the vision of ‘Purvodaya’. He highlighted the state’s strong infrastructure, port-led logistics, stable industrial policies, skilled workforce, and its roadmap towards building a ‘Samruddha Odisha’ by 2036, contributing to the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
