Bhubaneswar: The authorities of Jagannath temple at Odisha’s Puri town will soon install variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system at the shrine Natamandap for the convenience of devotees.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) will spend around Rs 74 lakh on the project. The bidding process for the project ended recently.
The VRF system will be installed at the Natamandap, the hall in front of the sanctum sanctorum of the 12th century shrine.
“The VRF system will be installed at the Natamandap for the comfort of the devotees. The devotees will not face any hot and humid condition inside the temple during the summer. Our motive is to enhance the darshan experience of the devotees,” said the SJTA.
It is worth mentioning here that the temple administration had earlier announced to introduce the ‘dhadi’ (queue) darshan system at the shrine.
The queue system would be introduced at the Natamandap. The temple authorities will first launch the system on an experimental basis before its full-scale introduction.
