Bhubaneswar: Student union elections at Bhadrak Women’s College and Naami College in Bhandaripokhari of Odisha's Bhadrak district have been cancelled due to indisciplinary activities by students.

The decision comes ahead of the student union elections scheduled to be held across colleges and higher educational institutions in Odisha on October 15.

After the cancellation, students of the Bhadrak Women’s College opposed the decision. Police personnel have been deployed at the campus to avoid any untoward incident.

As per the election schedule, students can file their nomination papers today, October 9, between 10 am and 1 pm. The list of valid nominations will be published at 5 pm today.
