Bhubaneswar: A woman was found murdered inside a locked room in CDA Sector 13 of Odisha’s Kataka city on Sunday.

According to preliminary information, the woman was stoned to death inside the room. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident, however, are yet to be established.

The suspected accused reportedly fled the spot following the incident. On being informed, the police reached the location and launched an investigation. A detailed search of the crime scene is underway to gather evidence and ascertain the sequence of events.

The identity of the deceased woman and the motive behind the alleged murder are yet to be established. The cops are also working to identify and trace the suspected accused.
