Bhubaneswar: In a bid to attract more tourists to famous Samaleswari temple in western Odisha district of Sambalpur, the state government has sanctioned funds for light and sound project at the revered shrine.

The state government today sanctioned Rs 7 crore for the project.

“Maa Samaleswari temple is a famous temple in the state where devotees from across the state and outside visit to seek blessings. Light & sound show will help attract more tourists to this place,” an official said.

Worth mentioning, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has instructed the officials to complete the project by the end of this fiscal.

Earlier, state government has implemented the light and sound show at two places – Peace pagoda at Dhauli and Konark temple.
