Bhubaneswar: If you are looking to do something creative this weekend, the first-ever DIY meet-up in Odisha capital on Jan 21 can offer you ideas in plenty.

“It's more like a group of girls sharing what they know and making some art and crafts. We are planning to organise more such events,” said Monisha Tripathy of turtlethatpaints, which along with Pulpy Creations is hosting Craftly Girls Weekend, a ladies-only event.

It will be held at Pulpy Creations in Unit I here from 11 am to 4 pm.

Registration fee of Rs. 299 will take care of basic art-craft supplies, food and beverages. One may look forward to learning quilling, miniature painting, clay modelling, watercolour painting and card making. DIY crafts as a hobby is quickly garnering interest in the city and such events will definitely set the trend for future.
