New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The Indian Air Force (IAF) will be roped in to provide logistical support for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21, according to media reports.

Citing sources, the reports said IAF aircraft will be deployed to transport question papers to 18 locations across the country, ensuring secure and timely delivery.

The re-examination will be conducted under heightened security arrangements, with nearly five lakh personnel deployed nationwide for exam-related duties.

Authorities are also set to use AI-enabled surveillance cameras and intensify monitoring of social media platforms to prevent any attempts to compromise the examination process.

This will mark the first time the Indian Air Force is being engaged for logistical support in a nationwide entrance examination.

The NEET (UG) re-test will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 21.

The NEET-UG 2026 exam, a gateway to MBBS courses, was originally held on May 3 but was later cancelled by the NTA following allegations of irregularities. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently probing the matter.
