Naveen’s mantra to Odisha ministers on good governance

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today advised his council of ministers to accelerate the work of their respective departments for good governance.

Chairing the council of ministers meeting at secretariat here today, he gave five important tips to his team to improve the potential of the departments working for the people.

Expressing his pleasure over timely submission of monthly work report by the ministers, Patnaik suggested them to make extensive tour to get updates of their departments work at grassroots.

"Pay surprise visit to different offices and institutions of your departments to expedite the services. Meet people during the trip, understand their issues and take direct feedback from the beneficiaries about the government services," Patnaik told the ministers.

The CM again stressed on 5Ts -- Transparency, Technology, Teamwork, Transformation and Time -- asking the ministers to focus on these for change in the existing system.

He also advised them to lay emphasis on the computerisation for transparency and efficiency in their respective departments. He asked them to ensure that 100 percent work gets done through Odisha Secretariat Workflow Automation System (OSWAS).
