Rourkela: An In-house developed Testing Facility for Safety Valves was inaugurated at the Maramat Bhavan of Centralised Maintenance (Mechanical) Department by Mr. R N Rajendran, CGM In-Charge (Mechanical & Shops) on 26th June, 2025. Mr. Devendra Kumar Palo, CGM (Mechanical), Mr. S K Panka, GM In-Charge, CM(M), Mr. S P Patel, GM, CM (M), Mr. S Akhtar, AGM, CM (M) Senior Officers and large number of employees of the department were present on the occasion.

In his address, Mr. Rajendran appreciated the efforts of the team for conceptualising and developing the facility in-house. He emphasised the importance of such initiatives in enhancing self-reliance, operational efficiency, and safety standards across the plant.

The newly inaugurated facility is designed to ensure smooth and efficient testing of safety valves covering a wide range of pressure requirements, thereby supporting various production units of the plant. This in-house capability is expected to significantly improve turnaround time and reliability in maintenance operations.
