Angul: Odisha cine star and Jatra actress Usasi Misra was allegedly assaulted by three persons at Derang under Kaniha police limits in Angul district last night.

As per a complaint lodged by Usasi with police, Indramani Sahu and his two sons assaulted and verbally abused her besides ransacking her car. The incident took place prior to her performance at a Jatra show at Derang.

Expressing her pain on Facebook, the actress said she was manhandled and molested. The accused tried to rip her clothes, she added.

Police have started investigation into the matter. The truth behind the incident will come to fore after a probe, a police official said.
