Paradip: In a shocking incident, bodies of four persons of a family including three minor children’s and their mother’s were found floating in Mahanadi River near Shani Mandir of Jagnnathpur village of Jagatsinghpur district. Family members alleged it was a murder.

Sources said local people first spotted the bodies and then immediately informed police which reached the spot along with an Orissa Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) team to recover the bodies.

The deceased were identified as as Mamina Sethi of Jagnnathpur village and her two daughters and one son.

The woman’s husband Ananta Sethi, a daily wager, had died in an accident some days ago.

While the exact reason behind the death of four persons is yet to be known, the deceased woman’s brother alleged they were murdered by someone over property issue.

The police, however, didn’t say anything which led to the death of four. Investigation into the incident is underway.
