Rourkela: In a bizarre incident, a 10-year-old boy, an inmate of Gurukul Vedic Ashram hostel in Odisha's Rourkela, brought sexual harassment allegation against three other inmates and a teacher of the educational institution.

"Three hostel inmates grabbed me at a cricket field...the teacher usually calls students, including me, to his room but I had refused," said the victim who had reportedly attempted suicide.

"My son told me that he didn't reveal the incident as the teacher would have scolded him for doing so," the mother of the boy said.

Police have started investigation into the incident after registering a case under Section 377 of IPC. The district Child Welfare Committee (CWC) is also probing into the matter.
