The 69th foundation day of Odisha capital was celebrated today with much gaiety.

Attending a programme held in front of Legislative Assembly, Odisha Assembly Speaker Niranjan Pujari unfurled the flag and took the salute on the Capital day civilian parade.

Among others, Union Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, State School & Mass Education Minister Debi Mishra, Culture Minister Ashok Panda, Forest & Environment Minister Bikram Keshari Aarukh, Commerce & Transport Minister Ramesh Majhi, Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patsani, MLA Priyadarsi Mishra and former MLA Suresh Routray also graced the occasion.

Thirteen persons, who have achieved success in various fields, were felicitated during the programme.

Besides, several programmes are being held today to mark the foundation day of Bhubaneswar.
