Bhubaneswar: The Non-resident Odias (NROs) living far off the country and state to earn livelihoods overseas were enchanted by devotional songs dedicated to Lord Jagannath during a cultural programme Spandan in Singapore.

Eminent singer Arabinda Muduli made entire atmosphere spiritual with his devotional songs. The NROs amidst their busy schedules attended the programme 'Odia Sanskrutiru Pade' held by Odia Society of Singapore for aesthetic relish on Saturday evening.

Gracing the occasion Odisha's leading vernacular daily 'Sambad' Editor Soumya Ranjan Patnaik spread rich culture of Odisha in the foreign soil in his address by speaking about Odisha's ancient literature and significance of motherland.

BJP leader Dr. Sambit Patra, who attended the cultural programme, won the hearts of NROs through his speech.

During the programme, Dr. Patra launched a mobile application of Odia Society of Singapore.
