Bhubaneswar: Unearthing further monetary transactions of arrested gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito, the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has found his links with Ollywood, the Odia movie industry.

According to police sources, Tito had financed an Odia film, which is under production after its muhurat. The money was invested by him through his brother.

The STF is also trying to ascertain whether the gangster had invested in another Odia movie or not, sources added.

Notably, the STF had earlier discovered that Tito possesses a land worth Rs 1.5 crore in Kolkata and Rs 66 lakh was credited to his bank account from his wife’s account back in 2016. Besides, the STF seized an Audi car worth over Rs 50 lakh from his possession.

The agency also sealed a real estate office, a petrol pump, a garment shop, a bike showroom, 17 tippers, a trailer and eight excavators from his possession.

The dreaded gangster had sustained bullet injuries on his left leg in a police encounter near Chandikhol in Jajpur district on June 30 following which he was arrested.
