Odisha govt effects bureaucratic reshuffle

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today effected a minor bureaucratic reshuffle with transfers and fresh appointments of seven officers.

According to a release issued by the General Administration Department this evening, the 2004-batch IAS officer Niranjan Sahu, Director, Higher Education of Odisha, has been given additional charge as Labour Commissioner.

2007-batch IAS Sangramjit Nayak, Director, Municipal Administration & Ex-officio Additional Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Department, has been allowed to remain in an additional charge of Administrator of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.

Similarly, another 2007-batch IAS Susanta Mohapatra, Director, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, has been appointed as additional secretary to the health and family welfare department.

The 2009-batch IAS Noonsvath Thirumala Nayak, Collector and district magistrate of Nayagarh has been appointed as the Director of Fisheries. He is allowed to remain in an additional charge of Executive Director, CMGI, Bhubaneswar in addition to his duties.

2012-batch IAS Poma Tudu, Collector and district magistrate, Koraput, has been appointed as the Collector of Nayagarh replacing Noonsvath Thirumala Nayak.

Shinde Dattatraya Bhausaheb, sub-collector, Baliguda, has been appointed as sub-collector, Berhampur, Ganjam.

Likewise, OAS officer Madhusudan Mishra has been posted as the collector and district magistrate of Koraput replacing Poma Tudu, it added.
