Odisha Govt promotes 3 IPS officers to DGP rank

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government today promoted three senior IPS officers - Satyajit Mohanty, Manoj Kumar Chhabra and Surendra Panwar - to Director General of Police (DGP) rank.

As per a notification by General Administration & Public Grievance Department of Odisha government dated August 31, 2019, the 1988-batch Odisha-cadre IPS officers Satyajit Mohanty and Manoj Kumar Chhabra were promoted to the grade of DG of Police in IPS in Level-16 of Pay Matrix with effect from the date of their joining in the promotional post.

The place of posting of the above two IPS officers shall be decided by the Home department, the notification stated.

Similarly, the 1987-batch IPS Surendra Panwar, who is on central deputation, was elevated to DGP rank in Odisha.
