Bhubaneswar: Odisha government will soon issue a notification for recruitment of 555 postgraduate teachers (PGTs) in 226 government-aided higher secondary schools in the state.

The State Selection Board (SSB) will conduct the recruitment process, said a senior official of the School and Mass Education department.

A high-level meeting under the chairmanship of S & ME department Commissioner-cum-Secretary Aswathy S today discussed various issues related to the recruitment of postgraduate teachers for government-aided schools in Odisha.

SSB, Odisha, Chairman Dakshya Prasad Nanda, Secretary Madhusudan Mishra and other senior officials of the School and Mass Education department were present at the meeting, said the official.

“The S &ME department has decided to expedite the process for recruitment of postgraduate teachers. The SSB will soon issue a notification in this regard,” he added.
