Odisha: Gratuitous relief for flood-affected people announced

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced gratuitous relief of seven days for flood-affected people in the districts of Kalahandi, Boudh, Kandhamal, Sonepur and Balangir.

As per official sources, Rs 60 per adult per day and Rs 45 per child per day will be provided in the affected areas for seven days.

Earlier, Patnaik reviewed the heavy rainfall and flash flood situation in Balangir, Kalahandi, Boudh, Sonepur and Kandhamal districts. Patnaik interacted with the concerned collectors through videoconferencing and enquired about their requirements to tackle the situation.
