Bhubaneswar: Nearly an hour after the commencement of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination conducted by the Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE), photos of question paper of MIL subject reportedly surfaced on WhatsApp today and went viral.

The photos initially made the rounds on the instant messaging platform in Aul area of Kendrapara district.

Till the filing of the report, the authenticity of the question paper was yet to be ascertained.

On the other hand, School and Mass Education Department Secretary Pradipta Mohapatra said that there is no truth behind the question paper leakage. Mobile phones are only possessed by examination centre superintendents during the exam. Hence, nobody can take photograph of the question paper, the official said.

School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra said preliminary probe has revealed that the question paper wasn't leaked.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held at the Board of Secondary Education office in Cuttack after the matter came to fore.
