Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police have arrested a youth for allegedly making a sex video of a college girl viral on social media.

As per a complaint lodged by the victim at Nayapalli police station, the accused youth developed physical relation with the girl on the pretext of marrying her. During the period, he recorded their intimate moments with a mobile phone and also took photos of the same.

Days after, he refused to marry the girl and started blackmailing her with the videos and photos. Later, he circulated the videos and photos on social media and instant messaging platform, following which it went viral.

Noticing the clip doing the rounds on mobile phones via WhatsApp, the girl lodged an FIR with Nayapalli police. The accused has been arrested and sent for medical examination. He will be forwarded to court, sources said.
