Odisha’s Pramod Bhagat selected for Arjuna Award

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ace para-badminton player Pramod Bhagat will be conferred with the prestigious Arjuna Award, a release of the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports said today.

He is the eighth Arjuna Award awardee from the state. Hailing from Attabira in Bargarh district, Pramod has brought laurels to Odisha and nation several times.

The para-badminton player has already bagged 37 international medals with 17 gold, 7 silver and 13 bronze. He also has 46 national medals including 30 gold, 14 silver and two bronze to his credit.
