Odisha's Sudarsan Pattnaik wins gold at World Sand Sculptures Championship

Bringing laurels to Odisha and the nation and adding another feather to his cap, internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik won the jury prize gold medal at the Xth World Sand Sculptures Championship 2017 in Moscow, Russia.

The ace sand artist from Puri won the gold medal for creating a sand sculpture of Lord ganesh with the message "GO GREEN".

The championship, having "World around us" as its theme, was held between April 22 and 28 at Kolomenskoye, Moscow where 25 renowned sand sculptors from various countries participated.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Sudarsan in a tweet for the achievement.
