The Raahgiri day, which started from January 17 this year and was observed on 27 Sundays after then, was suspended as rainfall during the monsoon acted as a major barrier in mass gathering.

Frequent rainfall had created hindrance in skating and painting during Raahgiri days besides creating problems for senior citizens to join the celebrations for which the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) decided not to hold Raahgiri days till October 2.
