Bhubaneswar: CARE Hospitals, Bhubaneswar a name synonyms with evidence-based treatment practices has initiated a sigh of relief for the people of Odisha with administration of Fasenra, Astrazeneca’s first respiratory biologic, now approved as an add-on maintenance treatment for severe asthma.

The first patient was administered with this injection yesterday by Dr. Damodar Bindhani (Clinical Director & HOD – Pulmonology). A sizeable number of asthma patients have severe asthma which may be uncontrolled despite high dosages of asthma controller medicines.
